Jose Morales

Jose Morales is a senior software engineer who currently works at Check. Jose has previous experience working at Better.com and Managed by Q, where they worked on developing a new mobile application and optimizing internal processes, respectively.

At Better.com, Jose was responsible for the development of a new client-centered mobile application that resulted in an acceptance rate of 95%. Jose also defined the requirements and stories needed for the new mobile app on a sprint by sprint basis, as well as created an automatic dashboard to analyze various daily and historic app downloads, ratings, rankings, and user flows per operating system.

At Managed by Q, Jose reengineered three departments (credit card payments, mortgages and foreclosures) within the bank, which meant redefining at least 5 different processes per department to improve efficiencies (average increase of 25%). Jose also designed and developed various automated tools to increase the efficiency of internal processes by an average of 75%. As a result of their efforts, the bank achieved synergies of around 5M EUR in the first year and about 450K EUR in recurring years.

Jose Morales has a Master's degree in Industrial Organization Engineering from Universidad Pontificia Comillas, a Professional Android Development certification from Universidad de Alcalá, and a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Universidad Pontificia Comillas. Jose is currently enrolled in the Inside Program at Georgetown University, studying Technology, Policy and Sustainable Development.
