Joel Cassel

Joel Cassel has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. Joel started their career as a Software Developer at Kipling IT AB in 2001 and continued as a Software Consultant at Dimension Telecom Sweden, Proact IT Sweden, HiQ Karlskrona AB, and Mandator AB. In 2007, they joined Fujitsu Services as a Software Integration Consultant and then moved to Ericsson in 2010. At Ericsson, Joel held various roles including Technical Architect, Project Manager, Manager R&D, and Strategic Product Manager. During their time at Ericsson, they worked on the development of a real-time charging and billing system and had the opportunity to travel and collaborate with telecom operators globally. In 2016, they joined Softhouse Consulting as a Senior Development Leader, where they played a crucial role in driving the technical strategy for Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI & CD) for a project with Försäkringskassan, the Swedish government social insurance agency. Currently, Joel is working as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Checkin.com, a position they have held since 2017.

Joel Cassel attended the Blekinge Institute of Technology from 1999 to 2003, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering. In addition to their degree, Joel has also obtained certifications such as the Professional Scrum Master I from Scrum.org in December 2016, and the PMI ACP from the Project Management Institute in December 2012.
