Umut Uzgur has worked in various roles since 2011. Starting in 2011, they were an Office Assistant for GIRISIM VARLIK YONETIMI A.S. and a Recruitment and Admission Team member for Ozyegin University. In 2012, they were a Recruitment and Admission Team member and a Bus 101 TA for Ozyegin University. In 2014, they were a Java Developer for Mebitech and an Intern for Netas. In 2015, they were a Software Developer for TestObject - Mobile Testing. From 2016 to 2019, they were a Senior Software Engineer, Software Engineer III, and Software Engineer II for Sauce Labs. In 2019, they were a Senior Backend Developer for Vivy. Finally, in 2020, they were an Engineering Team Lead and Senior Software Engineer for Checkly.

Umut Uzgur received their Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science from Ozyegin University in 2015. Before that, they attended \u00dcmraniye Anatolian High School.
