Eyal Bahar

Eyal Bahar has a diverse work experience that spans from research and academia to software engineering and data science. Eyal is currently working at Checkmarx as a Software Engineer, where they are responsible for owning a core service for enhancing application security data. Eyal'srole involves research and development of new capabilities for the internal product, using skills such as software engineering, backend development, full-stack development, Python, and React Typescript.

Prior to joining Checkmarx, Eyal worked at Exactius as a Data Scientist and ML Engineer, where they produced data-centric business intelligence and led R&D to production processes in a startup environment.

Eyal also has a strong academic background, having worked as a Research Scientist (PhD) at Tel Aviv University. During their time there, they received numerous awards and published six articles in leading scientific journals. In addition to their research role, Eyal also served as a Lead Instructor and Course Director at the university.

Eyal started their career as a Research Assistant at Technion - Israel Institute of Technology and gained further experience as a Biomedical Quantum Optics Intern at Laser Zentrum Hannover e.V. (LZH).

Eyal Bahar pursued their education in the field of Physics and Mathematics. Eyal began their academic journey in 2012 and graduated in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree from Technion - Israel Institute of Technology. In 2016, they enrolled at Tel Aviv University to pursue a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Physics/Optics, which they completed in 2017. Following this, Eyal continued their studies at Tel Aviv University and embarked on a Ph.D. program in Physics/Optics, which is expected to be completed in 2022.
