João Silva

João Silva has worked as an Application Security Analyst at Checkmarx since June 2023. Prior to this role, they were an AppSec R&D Developer at Checkmarx from May 2021 to June 2023. In addition, they have experience as a Member at xSTF since September 2021. Before joining xSTF, João worked as a Software Engineer at HypeLabs from July 2020 to April 2021.

João Silva holds a Master's degree in Information Security from Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade do Porto, which they pursued from 2020 to 2022. Prior to that, they completed a Licentiate degree in Informatic System at Instituto Politécnico do Cávado e do Ave between 2017 and 2020. Before that, from 2015 to 2017, João obtained a Técnico Superior Profissional degree in Eletrônica, Automação e Comando from the same institute. Their secondary education was completed at Escola Secundária Francisco de Holanda from 2012 to 2015, where they studied Eletrônica, Automação e Computadores. Additionally, João has obtained several certifications, including "Learning Go" from LinkedIn in February 2023, "Python Essential Training" from LinkedIn in September 2022, and "Learning the OWASP Top 10" from LinkedIn in October 2021.
