Shabir Bhat

Shabir Bhat has extensive experience in sales and business development, primarily in the cybersecurity industry. Shabir started their career in 2006 as a Management Trainee at Electrolux, where they focused on strategy building and channel mapping. Shabir then moved on to Inflow Technologies Pvt Ltd as a Business Development Manager, handling the North India business for various products.

In 2010, Shabir joined Sophos as a Network Security-Sales Manager for the Indian Subcontinent. Shabir successfully initiated channel and enterprise sales operations and showed 100% success quarter over quarter. Shabir also played a key role in the acquisition of Astaro by Sophos.

Following their time at Sophos, Shabir worked as a Business Development Manager at Raytheon|Websense, where they focused on unified web, data, and email content security. Shabir then joined Smoothwall as the Country Manager for India/SAARC, where they started and built the India/SAARC operations for the company.

After Smoothwall, Shabir became the Vice President of Sales for India/SAARC at Data Resolve Technologies, an emerging player in cybersecurity. Shabir later took on the role of Director of Sales for Asia, the Middle East, and Africa before becoming the Director of Sales for EMEA. During their time at Data Resolve, Shabir was responsible for building sales operations, generating revenue, developing channel priorities, and dealing with key decision-makers.

Most recently, Shabir joined Checkmarx as the Regional Sales Director for the Middle East and Africa. Shabir is responsible for handling overall sales, channel expansion, and new client acquisitions in the region. Shabir engages with top enterprises, banks, government bodies, healthcare, and industrial customers, focusing on revenue growth and sales strategy.

Shabir Bhat started their education at MHHS, where they completed their Matriculation. Later, from 2002 to 2005, they attended ACEM and obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) with a focus on Business Administration and Management. After that, from 2005 to 2007, Shabir studied at the International School of Business & Media, where they completed a PGDBM (Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management) with a specialization in Management.
