Simon Lim

Simon Lim has over 20 years of experience in various leadership roles in the technology industry. Simon is currently the Director of Channel Development - ASEAN at Checkmarx, where they collaborate with regional partners to create and implement strategies for capacity, skills, and revenue growth. Previously, Simon held the position of Regional Marketing Director, APAC & MEA at Checkmarx, where they led and managed regional marketing efforts to drive brand awareness and pipeline growth.

Prior to joining Checkmarx, Simon worked at VMware as the Director of Portfolio Marketing, APJ. In this role, they led the Solution/Product Marketing Team for VMware's Multi-Cloud Strategy & Cross-Cloud Services across APJ. Simon was responsible for developing and executing Go-To-Market strategies, launching products, and managing the product lifecycle.

Simon also gained experience at Dell EMC as the Director of Product Marketing APJ - Primary Storage. Simon worked in this role for five years, focusing on product marketing efforts for primary storage solutions. Before that, Simon held positions at F5 Networks, Cisco Systems and CSC in various business development, sales, and product management roles.

Throughout their career, Simon has demonstrated expertise in driving revenue growth, developing and executing marketing strategies, and managing cross-functional teams. Simon'sstrong leadership skills and deep industry knowledge have contributed to their success in the technology sector.

Simon LIM has a diverse education history. Simon completed an MBA degree in Business & Marketing from California State University - East Bay, studying from 2000 to 2002. Additionally, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Business & MIS from Oral Roberts University, where they studied from 1991 to 1993.

In 2011, Simon attended the Global Technology & Science Forum for a brief period to study Cloud Computing. Although they did not obtain a specific degree during this time, they successfully completed certifications in Cloud Computing. Simon became a Certified Cloud Computing Associate and a Certified Cloud Computing Specialist through the Global Science and Technology Forum in June 2011.
