Agata Palma

Agata Palma has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the financial technology and compliance sectors. Agata currently holds the position of Head of Product Compliance at Checkout.com since May 2023. Prior to this, Agata was an AML Compliance Manager at TransferGo from September 2022 to April 2023. Agata also served as a Senior Compliance Manager and DMLRO at Crypto.com from August 2021 to July 2022. Agata has also worked at Wirex, where they held multiple roles including Head of Financial Crime Operations from January 2019 to July 2021, Compliance Manager (Europe) from August 2018 to December 2018, and Risk and Compliance Manager from December 2017 to August 2018. Before joining Wirex, Agata worked as an AML Manager at Divisa Capital from August 2016 to November 2017 and as a Risk and Compliance Analyst at MoneyNetInt Ltd from January 2016 to August 2016. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Manager of AML Compliance at Western Union from January 2012 to November 2015 and as a Customer Service Representative at Transcom from April 2008 to December 2011.

Agata Palma attended Vilnius University from 2007 to 2011, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English Philology. In addition to their academic achievements, they also acquired additional certifications in various fields. These include Anti-Money Laundering Awareness Training from CCL Academy in January 2017, the ICA Advanced Certificate in Practical Customer Due Diligence (Distinction) from the International Compliance Association in November 2016, and the Chainalysis Reactor Certification from Chainalysis Inc. in February 2022.
