Andre Verhaeg

Andre Verhaeg has extensive work experience in software engineering and development roles. Andre is currently serving as the Director of Engineering, Integrated Platforms at Checkout.com since September 2022. Prior to that, they worked as the Associate Director of Engineering at Freetrade from May 2021 to September 2022. From January 2020 to May 2021, they held the position of Head of Software Engineering at Origami. Andre also worked at OVO Energy, where they served as the Head of Development from March 2015 to January 2020, Technical Lead from June 2014 to March 2015, and Senior Software Engineer from February 2013 to June 2014. Andre gained experience as a Java Developer at Betfair from September 2011 to February 2013. Andre also briefly worked as a Technical Lead at Caplin Systems in 2011 and as an Agile Java Developer at Gamesys Ltd from May 2010 to July 2011. Andre's career started as a Java Developer at EzGov from February 2006 to May 2010. Finally, they worked as a Business/Systems Analyst at Accenture from August 2004 to February 2006.

From 2000 to 2004, Andre Verhaeg attended the University of Birmingham where they pursued a degree in MEng. Andre'sfield of study focused on Computer Science and Software Engineering.
