John Vallis has extensive experience in compliance and financial crime operations within the banking and financial services sector. Currently serving as Chief Compliance Officer at Checkout.com since January 2024, John previously held senior compliance roles at Luno as Global Head of Compliance, WorldRemit as Group Head of Compliance and Financial Crime, and Metro Bank as Head of FCC Operations (Interim). John has also worked at Deutsche Bank in various capacities, including AFC Programme Director, and has significant experience with Standard Chartered Bank and HSBC in operational leadership roles. Academic qualifications include a BSc(Hons) in Applied Geology from the University of Plymouth and A levels from Wells Cathedral School.
