Nick West

Nick West has extensive experience in indirect tax, currently serving in a role at Checkout.com since October 2020. Previously, Nick held the position of Director Indirect Tax, Global at American Express GBT from June 2015 to October 2020, and served as Vice President of Business Advisory for Indirect Tax at Barclays between September 2013 and June 2015. Prior to that, Nick was VAT Manager at Visa Europe for a brief period and worked at American Express as Manager Indirect Taxes EMEA from October 2005 to May 2013. Early career experiences include roles at HM Revenue & Customs and HM Customs & Excise, where responsibilities included serious non-compliance and shadow economy team initiatives. Nick West earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) Hons. in Economics from Lancaster University.
