Alan Fu

Alan Fu has diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Alan started their career as a Research Intern at NASA Ames Research Center in 2008. In 2010, they worked as an Engineering Intern at U-Systems, Inc. The following year, they interned as a Design Engineer at Stryker.

Alan then joined Stryker again in 2012, this time as a Robotics R&D Intern. Later that year, they took on the role of President and COO at The LifeShel Company, serving until 2015.

In 2013, they worked as a Process Engineer Intern at Maxim Integrated, where they conducted experiments to improve wafer uniformity and provided expertise in diagnosing critical issues. During their tenure, they also developed an operation spec for a new microscopy tool.

From 2016 to 2017, Alan worked as a Software Engineer at eBay, focusing on search and chat technologies for the Close5 app. Alan optimized search queries and enhanced the chat platform's flexibility for future development.

In 2017, they joined Eaze as a Senior Software Engineer, contributing to the company's projects until 2019.

Most recently, Alan held two roles at Checkr, Inc. Alan was a Senior Data Engineer from 2019 to 2022, and then transitioned into the position of Data Eng Manager from July 2022 to the present.

Alan Fu received their Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Material Science Engineering and Biomedical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, where they studied from 2009 to 2014. Prior to attending university, they completed their secondary education at Palo Alto High School. In 2022, Alan completed a Machine Learning Engineering Course at FourthBrain.
