Justin Hoogs

Justin Hoogs has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Justin started their career in 2008 as a Law Clerk at the East Bay Community Law Center, where they worked for five months. In 2009, they joined Public Advocates as a Law Clerk for five months as well. Later that year, in November, they became an Associate at Morrison & Foerster LLP, where they worked until July 2015.

In 2015, Hoogs joined Astound Commerce as a Senior Corporate Counsel and worked there for three years, until October 2018. Justin then moved on to Checkr, Inc. and held multiple roles within the company. Starting in October 2018, they served as their Litigation Counsel until August 2019. From September 2019 to April 2021, they were the Lead Litigation and Compliance Counsel. Hoogs then became the Director of Litigation and Compliance from April to September 2021. Currently, they hold the position of Associate General Counsel, responsible for Litigation and Compliance at Checkr, Inc. starting from October 2021.

Justin Hoogs attended the University of Pennsylvania, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Comparative Literature. Justin also attended the University of California, Berkeley - School of Law, where they obtained a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
