Principal Technical Support Engineer at Chef

James McCormick began their work experience in 2013 as a Promotional, Web, OB & Production Volunteer at Calon FM. James then served as the Head of Events at Junction11 Radio from June 2011 to January 2014. Simultaneously, they also held the role of Station Manager at Junction11 Radio from June 2012 to January 2014. Following that, they worked as an Imaging Producer at The National Student Radio Chart Show from September 2013 to September 2014. James then joined Reading University Students Union as a Technical Crew member from October 2011 to July 2014. In 2014, they began working at niu Solutions as an End User Support Engineer until July 2015, where their responsibilities included providing 1st line technical support and addressing user issues. James then progressed to the role of Senior End User Support Engineer at niu Solutions from July 2015 to May 2018. From June 2018 to March 2021, James worked as a Cloud Support Engineer at UKCloud Ltd. Currently, they are employed as a Senior Technical Support Engineer at Progress Chef since March 2021 and has recently been promoted to the position of Principal Technical Support Engineer.

James McCormick attended Ysgol Dinas Bran from 2001 to 2007 for their primary and secondary education. After completing their schooling, they enrolled at Yale College from 2007 to 2010, although no specific degree or field of study is mentioned. Subsequently, from 2010 to 2014, they pursued a Bachelor of Computer Science (BSc Hons) degree in Computer Science at the University of Reading.

In terms of additional certifications, James obtained the Chef fluency certification from Chef Software in March 2018. James also earned the MTA: Software Development Fundamentals - Certified 2017 certification from Microsoft in April 2017.
