Michael Geertson

Michael Geertson is a seasoned international development professional with nearly three decades of experience in managing and directing humanitarian assistance, governance, conflict, and agriculture programming. They have led design and implementation teams in over twenty countries, including notable engagements in Ukraine, Liberia, and Mongolia. Currently serving as Managing Director at Chemonics International, they previously held key positions within the organization focusing on Europe, Eurasia, and Africa, and began their career at Tetra Tech EM Inc. after earning a Bachelor of Arts from Allegheny College and a Master of Public Administration from Virginia Tech.
