Antônio Soares holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from UFPE and a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the Universidade de São Paulo, complemented by further doctoral studies in Analytical Chemistry at Universidade Nova de Lisboa. They have conducted research and development of organofluorescent compounds aimed at detecting heavy metals through various analytical techniques. Currently, Antônio serves as a scientific researcher at Chemyunion in the Life Sciences sector, having previously completed a postdoctoral role focused on developing new methodologies for D-glycals at the Faculdade de Ciências Farmacêuticas da USP. Additionally, they possess pedagogical experience as a teaching assistant for organic chemistry courses at USP.
