Tim Ballard

Tim Ballard, MD, MPH, has extensive experience in military medicine, having served in various capacities with the United States Air Force from July 2010 to July 2013. As a Special Operations Group Surgeon and later the Air Force Special Warfare Medical Director, Tim executed policy guidance and oversight for a large number of airmen and medical personnel, managing critical Human Performance Optimization programs. Additionally, Tim directed the Global Health Engagement curriculum as the Medical Director at the Defense Institute for Medical Operations, focusing on training for partner nation forces in various medical disciplines. During the role of Preventive Medicine Resident and Family Medicine Physician, Tim organized training for Public Health Emergency Officers and provided leadership across multiple medical specialties, including serving as a Squadron Commander. Currently, Tim works as a Medical Review Physician at Chenega Corporation, beginning in October 2025.
