Shari Samms

Shari Samms is a highly experienced medical professional with a focus on primary care and training. Currently serving as a Primary Care Physician and National Director of CMD Training at ChenMed since August 2020, Shari also holds the position of Medical Director of Center Medical Director Training and Senior PCP Trainer. Prior experience includes a three-year tenure as Medical Director at Jencare Senior Medical Center in Portsmouth and eight years in the US Army as a Family Physician, where Shari undertook various leadership roles including Brigade Surgeon and Officer In Charge of multiple clinics. Shari completed a Family Medicine Residency at DEWITT ARMY COMMUNITY HOSPITAL and earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine, following a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Xavier University.
