Albert Tu

Albert Tu is a highly accomplished professional with extensive experience in pediatric neurosurgery, academia, and healthcare innovation. Currently serving as the CEO and Founder of Movealytics Inc. since May 2025, Albert also holds dual roles as an Associate Professor and previously as Assistant Professor at the University of Ottawa since July 2019. In addition to these academic responsibilities, Albert serves as a Pediatric Neurosurgeon at CHEO -- Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario. Prior experience includes positions as a Pediatric Neurological Surgeon at Children's Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota and a Paediatric Neurosurgery Fellow at Children's Hospital Los Angeles. Albert completed a Neurosurgery Residency at The University of British Columbia and has worked as a Research Assistant in both the Department of Neurology and the Department of Psychiatry at UBC. Albert holds a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from The University of British Columbia (2005-2009) and foundational education from the University of Alberta and Old Scona Academic.
