Catherine Pound

Catherine Pound is a seasoned medical professional currently serving as the Director of Physician Wellness and Support at The Canadian Medical Protective Association since September 2021 and as a Physician Advisor for Safe Medical Care--Learning. Catherine holds an Associate Professor position in Pediatrics at the University of Ottawa and works as a Consulting Pediatrician at the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario, providing pediatric care for hospitalized patients and involved in research and teaching. Catherine has held various leadership roles, including Divisional Research Director and Resident Research Director. Previously, Catherine chaired the Nutrition Committee for the Canadian Pediatric Society and completed fellowships and residency in Pediatric Hematology and Oncology. Academic credentials include a Master of Public Health from the University of Ottawa, a Master's degree in Epidemiology, and an MD from McGill University. Currently, Catherine is pursuing further studies in Health Policy at the University of Ottawa.
