Gillian Bilton

Gillian Bilton currently serves as the Director of HR Law, Labour Relations, & Healthy Workplace and Interim Chief Talent Officer at CHEO since April 2023, with previous roles including Legal Counsel and Interim Director of Labour Relations & Healthy Workplace. Since July 2025, Gillian is also a member of the Board of Directors for Bruyère Health. Prior experience includes various managerial positions at The Ottawa Hospital from November 2013 to April 2023, where responsibilities encompassed compensation, classification, workforce compliance, contractual integrity, and labour relations. Gillian's legal career began as a Student-at-Law at Emond Harnden from July 2012 to May 2013. Educational qualifications include a Juris Doctor from the University of Ottawa, a Bachelor of Arts in Political Studies and Psychology from Queen's University, a certificate in Human Resources Management from Algonquin College, and participation in the Regional Healthcare Executive Leadership Program at the Telfer School of Management.
