Leah Anderson

Board Member

Leah Anderson is a strategic leader and board director with over 30 years of experience as a regulator, policymaker, and economist. They served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation (CDIC), where they safeguarded over $1 trillion in deposits and ensured the financial stability of member institutions. Prior to CDIC, Leah held multiple senior roles at Finance Canada, including Assistant Deputy Minister of Financial Sector Policy, overseeing the development of innovative regulatory frameworks and responding to the financial challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. Currently, Leah is a Board member at the Children’s Hospital for Eastern Ontario (CHEO) and is pursuing further education in Governance at the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management, alongside a Master and Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Queen’s University.
