Melissa Brett

Melissa Brett is a healthcare executive with over 15 years of progressive leadership in acute care, quality improvement, and infection prevention across major hospital systems in Ontario. Currently, they lead the Critical Care Transport Program at CHEO, where they have expanded services regionally and increased patient transfers. Previously, at The Ottawa Hospital, Melissa retained Exemplary Accreditation post-pandemic and led quality projects focused on infection control and patient safety. They hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Trent University and a Master's degree in Global Health & Infectious Diseases from The University of Edinburgh, and are certified in LEAN (Black Belt) and PROSCI Change Management.
