Michael Jar

Michael Jar is an experienced professional in operations and management with a strong background in the manufacturing and engineering sectors. Currently, Michael serves as the Plant Manager at CHEP Australia, overseeing one of the largest sites, with a focus on servicing the FMCG, Automotive, Food, and Chemicals industries. Prior to this, Michael held the position of CEO at Globus Group Pty Limited, where strategic initiatives were advised and implemented, and was also the General Manager responsible for operations and profitability in New Zealand. Michael's earlier roles include Business Manager for Asia at Sealed Air Corporation, where P&L accountability and production oversight were key responsibilities, as well as Director of Manufacturing and Engineering for the Asia Pacific region. Michael began a career at WR Grace, starting as a Plant Manager for a new facility in Malaysia. Michael holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Canterbury.
