Paul Melia

Paul Melia serves as the Global Director of Materials Technology and New Product Development at CHEP, responsible for overseeing global initiatives in the development of new materials and technologies. Previously, Melia held the position of Technical Director at Amcor, where responsibilities included new business and product development across various market segments, including food and beverage, OTC, and health. At Sonoco, Melia led global business innovation efforts for the consumer plastics division, focusing on new product development. Earlier experience includes roles as Process Engineering Manager at Air Products, where cost reduction in manufacturing processes was achieved, and as Technical Consultant at W.Muller Blastformteknic GmbH. Melia also contributed as Senior Technical Manager at LINPAC Packaging, facilitating cross-divisional product development. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Applied Science in Plastics and Polymer Engineering Technology from the University of Massachusetts Lowell and an Advanced Leadership Program from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
