John Welch has been a Secretary at Transplants In Action since June 2008. Prior to that, John worked as a Transit Operator/Transit Operator Instructor at Salem Area Mass Transit District since July 1999. John also has experience as a Security Supervisor at Motorola, Inc. and the U.S. Air Force. John attended Chemeketa Community College from 1981 to 1983.

Cherriots provides public transportation services within the urban growth boundary of Salem and Keizer, Oregon. Our mission is creating community connections. We are committed to better air quality, less congestion, and increased services to enhance the quality of life for the Salem-Keizer area. Our strategic goals include increasing transportation option awareness and increasing awareness of environmentally sustainable choices. Cherriots has won several awards for its efforts in sustainability.
