John Carpenter

John Carpenter has extensive experience in the finance industry, currently serving as a Senior Consultant, Managing Director, and Principal at Cherry Bekaert since September 2007, where John leads the Government Contractor Services group. Prior to this role, John Carpenter was a Director at Wachovia Bank from November 1997 to August 2007, where John established and managed the Government Contract Finance Group. Earlier in his career, John Carpenter served as a Vice President at Signet Bank for 14 years, specializing in corporate banking for middle-market companies with a focus on government contractors. John Carpenter began his career as a Branch Manager at Union Trust Company of Maryland from May 1979 to May 1982. Educationally, John Carpenter holds a BA in Government & Foreign Affairs from Hampden-Sydney College and an MBA in Finance from Loyola University Maryland.
