Mark Byfield has over 30 years of work experience in various roles and companies. Mark most recently worked at Chess Dynamics Ltd as the Vice President Strategic Business Development since September 2017. Prior to that, they held the position of Vice President Marketing & Sales at Leonardo for over 11 years. Mark also worked as a Programme Manager at BAE Systems from August 2002 to December 2005. Mark started their career at GEC Research as a Research Scientist in November 1989 and has held positions such as Product Group Manager at EEV, and Product Manager at GEC-Marconi.
Mark Byfield has a Master of Arts degree in Chemistry from The Queen's College, Oxford. Mark also holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Bioinorganic Chemistry from The University of Surrey.

Chess is a subsidiary company of the Cohort group and the company is led by David Tuddenham.
