Chestnut Engineering was conceived by three like-minded engineers while working together at a consulting engineering firm. The engineers were in search of a mutually beneficial business opportunity. But what? After work debate ensued at small restaurants and bars near the office along Chestnut Street. Finally, the choice became clear…the three must branch out. The decision was to start anew, much like planting a seed and nurturing the young sapling to grow into a strong tree. But what of the name? After much deliberation, consensus grew for what became the common thread to this new enterprise: “Chestnut”. Hence, Chestnut Engineering was formed.
