Gary Hao

Gary Hao is an accomplished data science professional currently serving as the Associate Director of Data Science at Chewy since May 2025. Prior to this role, Gary held the position of Director of ML Engineering at Wind Creek Hospitality from February 2023 to May 2025, where responsibilities included overseeing AI initiatives in personalization, marketing, and digital gaming. At Takeoff Technologies, Inc., from January 2020 to November 2022, Gary led the Data Function, managing teams in data engineering, data science, and analytics to drive innovations in automated grocery fulfillment through machine learning. Earlier in his career, Gary worked at EY from July 2012 to January 2020, progressing from Staff Consultant to Data Science Manager in Advanced Analytics.
