Ertharin Cousin

Ertharin Cousin is a highly accomplished leader in the fields of food security and international relations. Cousin is the Founder and CEO of Food Systems for the Future, and serves on the Board of Directors at Mondelēz International and the Supervisory Board at Bayer. As a Distinguished Fellow at The Chicago Council on Global Affairs and a Visiting Scholar at Stanford University's Freeman Spogli Institute for the Study of International Relations, Cousin remains influential in shaping global food policy. Previously, Cousin held the position of Executive Director at the World Food Programme and served as Ambassador to the U.S. Mission to UN Agencies in Rome. Additional roles include President of The Polk Street Group and Senior Advisor for Obama for America, as well as Chief Operating Officer at America's Second Harvest. Educational credentials include a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Georgia School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Illinois Chicago.
