David E. Simpson

David E. Simpson is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles across accounting and finance sectors. Currently serving as Interim Accounting Manager for the Chicago Cubs since 2015, David oversees financial reporting for several entities, including Hickory Street Capital and Chicago Cubs Charities. Prior to this role, David held the position of Director of Finance at Manroland Web Systems Inc., managing financial operations for US and Canadian subsidiaries, as well as serving as Finance Director at Nipson America, where initial accounting functions were designed for post-bankruptcy operations. David also brought valuable experience as Controller at both Con-Tech Lighting and W. Braun Company, directing accounting functions and financial reporting during critical growth phases. David holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
