Kerease Epps

Kerease Epps currently serves as Assistant General Counsel at Chicago Public Schools, a position held since June 2023. Prior to this role, Kerease Epps practiced as a Family Law Attorney at Beermann LLP from September 2021 to June 2023, and held positions as a Summer Associate Law Clerk at Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP and a Judicial Extern at Cook County Circuit Court. Kerease Epps has also contributed to educational policy as a Public Policy Fellow at the Illinois State Board of Education, and as a Policy and Advocacy Fellow with The Chicago Public Education Fund. An accomplished educator, Kerease Epps taught 12th-grade history at The Noble Network of Charter Schools and served as a teacher at Detroit Edison Public School Academy. Kerease Epps holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from Loyola University Chicago School of Law, an Elementary Education Certification from the University of Michigan, and a Bachelor of Science in Social Policy and African American Studies from Northwestern University.
