Child Development, Inc. has been focused on helping low-income families and children for decades. Since 1976 under the name “Choices for Children,” Child Development has been assisting low-income families gain access to subsidized childcare services. Parents can choose the childcare provider that best meets their needs and know their children are safe and well-cared for while they work, look for employment, receive training or get an education. The company currently oversees California state contracts to provide services for low-income children and families in Santa Clara County and Stanislaus County. In Santa Clara County Choices for Children manages childcare subsidy payments through the California Alternative Payment Program, CalWORKs Stage 2, and CalWORKs Stage 3 programs. While in Stanislaus County Choices for Children manages childcare subsidy payments for the CalWORKs Stage 2, and CalWORKs Stage 3 programs. We see ourselves as part of a support ecosystem that helps low-income families gain access to childcare providers and other services that provide them opportunities to build a better life.
