Cindy Coats

Cindy Coats has over 20 years of work experience in the education and childcare industry. Cindy is currently working as a Lead Instructor at ChildPlus Software, where they conduct training sessions for clients both in-person and virtually. Cindy has presented at national conferences and is known for their high performance and creativity in supporting customers. Prior to that, Cindy worked at Head Start as an Area Coordinator, overseeing a staff and ensuring the enrollment of over 1300 children. Cindy was responsible for staff evaluations, development, and training. Cindy also worked as an Assistant Director at Young Scholars Learning Academy, where they coordinated and implemented a Pre-Kindergarten Program. In addition, Cindy has experience as a Human Resources Office Assistant at Trustmark, where they provided strong customer service and performed pre-employment screening. Earlier in their career, they worked as an Assistant Director at Advocate Condell Medical Center, an intern at Heartland Head Start, and a Teacher Assistant at Bright Horizons Learning Academy.

Cindy Coats obtained their Associate's degree from the College of Lake County between 1993 and 1995. Cindy further pursued higher education and graduated from Illinois State University with a Bachelor's degree in Family and Consumer Sciences/Home Economics Teacher Education between 1995 and 1998.
