Children Now
Ted Lempert is a Lecturer at UC Berkeley in the Political Science Department and teaches the California Politics course. Ted is also the President of Children Now, where Ted leads the development of the organization's unique positioning as an umbrella children's policy organization. Prior to this, Ted was the Founding CEO of EdVoice, advocating for education reform and support for public education. Ted also served as a Member of the California State Assembly, representing Silicon Valley and chairing various committees. Additionally, Ted was a Supervisor on the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors and held positions at Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton LLP. Ted holds a JD from Stanford Law School and a Bachelor of Science from Princeton University.
