Childrise Development Programme (Childrise) is a local non-governmental organization registered in 2012 by the NGO board. Operating primarily in the marginalized areas of Mbeere North Sub County in Embu County and Igamba Ng’ombe, Chiakariga and Tharaka South Sub Counties in Tharaka Nithi County, Childrise focuses on promoting the growth and well-being of deprived, excluded, and vulnerable (DEV) children. With funding from ChildFund and other donors, the organization collaborates with the Government of Kenya’s line departments at both county and sub-county levels. Childrise's mission is to support children in realizing their full potential, empowering them to bring positive change to their families and communities. Currently, Childrise supports 3,000 vulnerable children across Embu and Tharaka Nithi counties. 
Childrise’s strategic approach focuses on empowering children as agents of change while addressing the deprivation and exclusion they often face. The organization actively engages families and communities, fostering a broad network of supporters committed to promoting children’s rights and well-being. Guided by community needs assessments and aligned with County and National Development priorities, Childrise focuses on key thematic areas, including Child Protection and advocacy, Livelihoods, Education, and WASH. These focus areas are designed to support children and their families holistically, equipping them with the tools they need to thrive.
