David Lyons

David Lyons is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in engineering leadership and development across various companies. Currently serving as a Technology Fellow and Principal Engineer at Chime since June 2019, David previously held significant roles at Remind, where innovations included scaling the SMS and push delivery system to 500 million messages per month. As a co-founder and CTO at Geddit Pty. Ltd., David contributed to an educational technology application for secondary and K12 classrooms in eight countries. Additional experience includes leading the Ruby platform team at PlayUp and developing software solutions across multiple organizations, with a strong focus on Ruby on Rails, data warehousing, and reporting solutions. David holds a BCS/BA from Monash University, with studies in search, optimization, and philosophy.
