James Ausman

James Ausman is a technical leader with over 30 years of experience in building scalable systems and leading cross-functional teams at major companies including Google, AWS, Square, and Chime. They have guided four companies through IPOs and have a strong background in infrastructure, compliance, and operations. Currently, as a Sr. Technical Program Manager at Chime, they continue to drive impactful engineering programs. In addition to their career in technology, James has dedicated the last decade to public service, working as a board member and past president of the Berkeley Student Cooperative and leading organizing efforts with YIMBY Action in San Francisco. They are now exploring opportunities at the intersection of technology, public policy, and service.
