Thomas Palermo is an accomplished leader with extensive experience in program development and training within the nonprofit sector. As the Chief Program Officer at Chimes since May 2017, Thomas oversees initiatives aimed at supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities, rooted in the organization's founding principles. In addition, Thomas founded Positive Parenting in 1991, where efforts focus on enhancing parenting techniques through intensive in-home training for mental health providers. Earlier in their career, Thomas served as the Director of Training and Evaluation at Volunteers of America-Greater New York, where responsibilities included training staff across mental health and children's programs, and directing fourteen children's programs to ensure compliance with licensing and certification standards.
