ChinaTechTrip

ChinaTechTrip provides study and inspiration tours for organizations that want to offer their members, employees or customers a chance to learn more about digital innovation in China. Our tours are developed and guided by Ed Sander, China tech analyst, writer and public speaker. The tours consist of a combination of lectures, in which theoretical background is given, company visits and 'city safaris' where participants can experience Chinese technology in practice. Important themes include e-commerce, instant retail, new retail, (super) apps, O2O/local services and cross-border e-commerce from China. All of this is accompanied by a treasure trove of cultural knowledge to put everything in the right context and give travelers a better idea of Chinese culture. Every day we eat a different type of authentic Chinese cuisine, we visit a 'KTV' (karaoke) and cultural shows, etc. As part of the program we also try to include a visit to the countryside to show that there are more sides to China than metropolises like Beijing and Shanghai. There are three reasons for our clients to have a trip organized by ChinaTechTrip: 1 - Some companies wish to enter the Chinese market and sell their products to the Chinese consumer. They first need to know their potential customer and the digital landscape. 2 - China is years ahead in the fields like e-commerce, apps and new retail. We can learn a lot and be inspired by understanding its local platforms and business models. 3 - Chinese internet companies are increasingly moving across China's borders, bringing opportunities as well as threats to Western platforms and brands. You better get to know them.
