Grisel Hernandez is a seasoned professional in investment and policy analysis, currently serving as a Senior Associate at Chingona Ventures since October 2022. In addition to roles at Chingona Ventures, Grisel is a member of Global Women in VC and Let's Talk Ops. Previous experience includes managerial and analytical positions at the Illinois State Treasurer from December 2019 to September 2022 and participation as a VC Fellow at Chicago:Blend in 2022. Grisel's academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science from Grinnell College, with a concentration in Latin American Studies, and a recent certificate in Data Science and Public Policy from the Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago. Grisel also contributed to research as a Data Analyst at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and served as a tutor and instructor during academic tenure. Community engagement efforts are demonstrated through internships at various organizations focused on housing rights and digital archiving.
