Ellen Ho

Ellen Ho is currently the Chief Compliance Officer at Chintai. Prior to this, they were a Risk Management Specialist at DBS Bank from November 2006 to July 2011, where they developed and implemented the Thirdparty Outsourcing Framework and performed risk and control assessment across regional countries. Ellen also drove the Risk and Control Self Assessment, challenged units on response to risks and controls, and reviewed and challenged units on the quality of Operational Risk events/loss reporting in Retail and Wholesale Banking across APAC region.

From July 2011 to July 2013, Ellen was the Assistant Vice President, AML Risks and Control at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where they led risk and controls for transactions monitoring and investigations across APAC, Europe, Middle East. This included developing AML risk scenarios, establishing a quality assurance framework, leading assurance work and reporting findings, establishing a process validation framework, leading validations work on surveillance systems/tools and manual investigation processes, presenting validated findings to leadership committee, and leading the privacy program framework, cross border data transfers, BCRs.

Ellen Ho has an MBA in Finance from The University of Manchester, a Specialist Diploma in Operational Risk Management from the National University of Singapore, a Bachelor Degree in Banking and Finance from the University of London, and an Advanced Diploma in Data Protection Excellence and Data Principles from the Singapore Management University. Ellen also has certification from EXIN in Personal Data Privacy Protection, certification from SUSS in Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment, certification from ACAMS in Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMLS), certification from ISACA in Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), and certification from IAPP - International Association of Privacy Professionals in Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM).
