Shiv Iyer

Shiv Iyer is a seasoned database architect and entrepreneur with extensive experience in high-performance database systems. As the Founder and CEO of MinervaDB since July 2015, Shiv leads a consulting firm that specializes in MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, and ClickHouse, serving over 500 customers worldwide. In addition, Shiv founded ChistaDATA Inc. in May 2021 to provide managed services for ClickHouse, focusing on performance and scalability. Shiv also has a long-standing association with Ask DB Experts, providing specialized consulting and support for MySQL and associated technologies. Prior to these ventures, Shiv held executive roles at Percona, PalominoDB, and Sun Microsystems, driving database infrastructure operations and consulting across the Asia-Pacific region.
