Deepan Babu

Deepan Babu is the founder of CHK, a made-in-India direct-to-consumer footwear brand designed for India's fashion-seeking youth and built around a concept-to-creation model with a vertically integrated ecosystem. They bring experience in private equity and strategy consulting, including an Engagement Manager - Private Equity role at McKinsey & Company (2022–2024) and a Vice President role at Olympus Capital Asia (2017–2021). Their earlier positions include Associate at Arpwood Capital (2016–2017), Associate at Allegro Capital Advisors (2015–2016), Summer Associate at Areté Advisors (2014), and an internship at the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) in 2012. In education, they are pursuing an MBA at Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad; they earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Aeronautical Engineering from Madras Institute of Technology (2009–2013) and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from IIMA (2013–2015).
