Maggie Lay

Maggie Lay has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Maggie began their career as an HR Intern at Phase Eight (Fashion & Designs) Ltd. in 2014. Maggie then worked as an Operations and Marketing Intern at Hayes Commercial Group while studying at UCSB. In 2015, Maggie served as the Panhellenic President for the UCSB Chapter of the National Panhellenic Conference Inc.

After graduating, they joined Goodlord as a Business Development Executive and later transitioned to the role of HR Coordinator. In this role, they focused on employee training and development, engagement, and performance.

Maggie then moved on to Nested.com, where they initially worked as a Talent Acquisition Coordinator before becoming a Talent Acquisition Partner. Maggie'sresponsibilities included candidate screening, interview coordination, and managing the recruitment process.

In 2018, they joined Dext as an HR Advisor, handling HR and talent support for the UK Sales teams. Maggie also led recruitment efforts globally and managed various HR initiatives, such as mentoring and graduate programs.

From 2019 to 2021, Maggie worked at WeGift, initially as a People Operations Manager and later as a People Business Partner. Maggie provided strategic and tactical guidance on people-related issues and ensured the company met its organizational objectives.

In their most recent role, Maggie joined Choco as the Head of People Partners, Europe. Maggie'sresponsibilities in this role are not provided.

Maggie Lay obtained a Level 5 qualification in CIPD in 2019-2020. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Communication with a minor in History from UC Santa Barbara in 2012-2016. Maggie completed their high school education and earned High School/Secondary Diplomas and Certificates from Gumley House Convent School from 2005-2012.
