Waheed Akbar

Waheed Akbar has a diverse work experience spanning across various roles and companies. Waheed started their career as a Field Service Engineer at Burnham Technical Installations in 1996 and then worked as an IT Support Management Specialist, Technical Commissioner, and Field Service Engineer at MICROS Systems UK Limited from 2001 to 2010. In 2011, they joined MICROS Systems UK Limited as an IT Purchasing and Logistics Manager until 2014. Waheed then moved to Oracle Corporation UK, where they worked as a Warehouse and Purchasing Manager UK & Ireland from 2014 to 2015 and as an Oracle GSL Micros EMEA Manager from 2015 to 2016. Their most recent positions include Client Programme Manager EMEA at Choice Logistics from 2017 to 2019 and currently serves as the Director of Client Services at Choice Logistics, starting in January 2020.

Waheed Akbar has a solid education history in the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Waheed started their education at East Berkshire College from 1989 to 1992, where they obtained a Btec National Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Waheed then continued their studies at the University of West London from 1993 to 1995, earning an HND (Higher National Diploma) in the same field.

In addition to their formal education, Waheed Akbar has also obtained several certifications. In October 2020, they acquired a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt (ICYB) certification from The Knowledge Academy.
