Kurt Rodgers

Kurt Rodgers is an experienced technology professional currently serving as the Network Strategy Manager at Chorus NZ Limited since March 2012, where responsibilities include leading the development of the long-term technology plan for the company's fixed broadband network and the FTTH initiative. Prior to this role, Kurt worked at Alcatel-Lucent from 2006 to March 2012, initially as a Technology Director focused on establishing the company's reputation in New Zealand's Fibre-to-the-Home sector and later as a Network Architect specializing in IP/MPLS technologies. Additional experience includes serving as the New Zealand Marketing Chair for MEF from 2010 to 2012 and working at Nokia as an IP Expert from 2000 to 2005, with a focus on network optimization. Kurt's career began at Telecom New Zealand as a Data Engineer from 1992 to 1999, and Kurt holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Communications Electronics and Software Engineering from the University of Canterbury.
