Liam Kernaghan

Liam Kernaghan currently serves as the President and Board Member of the Royal New Zealand Pipe Bands’ Association and holds the position of Manager for Government and Community Affairs at Chorus NZ Limited. Previous roles include managing Government Affairs at the New Zealand Law Society and serving as Public Relations and Communications Business Partner at Property Council New Zealand. Liam has significant political experience as a Senior Advisor to the Leader of the Opposition in New Zealand Parliament and as an Advisor for both the Rt Hon Bill English and Hon Amy Adams. Earlier experience includes tutoring at the University of Otago and directing the pipe band at John McGlashan College. Liam holds qualifications from the Institute of Professional Legal Studies and the University of Otago.
