Waata Hipango

Waata Hipango has a diverse work experience, starting with a role as an Apprentice Technician at MC Communications from 2005 to 2008. Waata then worked as a Student at the University of Canterbury from 2008 to 2012. Following that, they were employed as a Service Technician at Downer New Zealand from 2012 to 2013. Waata then transitioned to Transfield Services, where they worked as a Graduate from 2013 to 2014. After that, they joined Downer New Zealand again as a Team Leader, M&P from 2014 to 2015. Waata then worked as an Operations Support Manager South at Home Fibre Services from 2015 to 2016. Since 2016, they have been employed at Chorus NZ Limited, starting as a Delivery Specialist from 2016 to 2018, then progressing to Senior Delivery Specialist in 2018, and currently serving as an Asset and Investment Manager.

Waata Hipango obtained a Bachelor of Commerce with First Class Honours in Management from the University of Canterbury. This education was completed from 2008 to 2011. Additionally, Waata obtained a National Certificate in Telecommunications Level 3 from ESITO/ETITO, which was obtained sometime between 2005 and 2013.
